26 people were arrested for breaching curfew orders and the health restrictions in the last 24 hours with drunkards topping the list.
Acting Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu says the Western Division recorded 7 cases where 6 people including a juvenile were all found drunk at the Toge playground in Ba while a 29 year old man was found walking along Pillay Rd in Lautoka during curfew hours.
He says 9 people were arrested in the Southern Division including six farmers who were all found intoxicated at the Yarawa Settlement in Serua while 3 others in their 20’s were found loitering and drunk in Tacirua, Nadawa and Muanikoso.
Tudravu adds the Eastern Division recorded 6 cases where 3 were found walking along Wainibuku during curfew hours while 3 others were found drunk at the Dravuwalu settlement in Tailevu.
The 4 cases recorded in the Northern Division involved four farmers who were all found intoxicated in Vunivau, Labasa during curfew hours.
