Drugs like some other issues are not purely a Police problem, it is a national problem.
Minister for Home Affairs Pio Tikoduadua made this comment to Acting Police Commissioner, Juki Fong Chew during his tour of the Police Special Response Unit this morning.
Tikoduadua says they really need to get to the root cause on why drugs is so prevalent and readily available on the market.
The Minister further says to take the situation of Kadavu, it has probably taken over from Navosa in a big way, while Natewa has calmed down.
He adds that it would be an important set of data to get how it has translated to the livelihood of the people on the ground for instance their houses as well as their lifestyle.
The Minister also says this tells us how big of an impact drugs is making on people’s lives.
