The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua are hunting for their first-ever win over the Highlanders when the two teams clash this weekend in round 14 of the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific competition.
In their previous two encounters in Suva and Dunedin, the Highlanders have been having the best of the games winning 27-24 and 57-24 respectively.
The Drua will be looking to back up their impressive performance against the Reds last week and secure their first away game victory as well since 2022.
They will also want to keep their hopes of playing in the Super Rugby Pacific playoffs alive and a win this weekend could help them move a step closer to securing their spot in the quarter finals.
The Drua currently sits in 8th place with 21 points behind the Highlanders who are in 7th place with 23 points.
A win this weekend could see the Drua climb up to 7th place in the overall Super Rugby Pacific points table and a loss for the Highlanders will see them slip to 8th place, and if the Force beat the Reds, the Highlanders could slip further down to 9th place with the Force coming into the top 8.
The Highlanders will host the Drua at 2.05pm this Sunday at the Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin.
In other matches this week, the Chiefs play the Hurricanes at 7.05 tonight, the Brumbies host the Rebels at 9.35 tonight, Moana Pasifika take on the Waratahs at 4.35pm tomorrow, the Crusaders play the Blues at 7.05pm tomorrow, and the Reds meet the Force at 9.35pm tomorrow.
