Despite the home-ground advantage, the Highlanders are fully aware of what the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua are capable of when they face each other in a must-win match in Dunedin this afternoon in round 14 of the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific.
Highlanders Assistant coach Kendrick Lynn says the Drua starts well and can be in the hunt, and is a dangerous team.
Lynn says they have got one of the best scrums in the competition, statistically and traditionally, one might think of Fijian teams as pure flair or off-the-cuff, but they know the Drua has been coached well over these last few years.
He says eighteen of them have been in the Fijian World Cup squad.
The Assistant coach further says the Drua has got good experience, and good players, who now have the set piece on their side.
He says the team is more complete and dangerous, and they will be coming motivated.
Lynn adds that the Drua are at their most dangerous when the game becomes unstructured.
The Drua will take on the Highlanders at 2.05pm today in Dunedin in a must-win match to maintain their spot in the top 8 of the overall Super Rugby Pacific points table and a chance to move up to 7th place.
