Swire Shipping Fijian Drua CEO Brian Thorburn says they were buoyed by the news of the large group of Fijian abattoir workers who came to the aid of several people impacted by flooding in South East Queensland.
Thorburn says they are proud of their actions.
He says when the floods settle down, they will reach out to these individuals and invite them for one of Drua’s matches at his cost.
Thorburn says these Fijian abattoir workers in Australia are legends.
Meanwhile, the Drua's first home game of the season against the Melbourne Rebels in Super Rugby Pacific has been moved from Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast Stadium in Kawana Waters in Queensland.
The decision comes after the recent floods in Brisbane which saw the stadium flooded.
The match will kick off at 8.45pm Friday.
In other matches, the Crusaders will meet Moana Pasifika at 6.05pm Friday, Western Force will face the Reds at 11pm Friday, the Chiefs will play the Blues at 3.35pm Saturday, the Hurricanes will meet the Highlanders at 6.05pm Saturday and the Brumbies will take on the Waratahs at 8.45pm Saturday.
