Swire Shipping Fijian Drua Head Coach Mick Byrne is self-isolating after testing positive for COVID.
He won’t be with the team for tomorrow’s clash against the Waratahs.
The team has also relocated to Gold Coast for Rounds 7 and 8 because of challenges associated with adverse weather conditions in northern New South Wales.
CEO Brian Thorburn says with their camp closing due to operational issues caused by the rising water levels, they had no choice but to move to the Gold Coast for the next 10 days.
He says it was challenging to move almost 55 people with just a few hours notice, but they have managed to find suitable accommodation with training facilities nearby for the entire squad of players and staff.
The Drua battles the Waratahs at 8.45pm tomorrow.
In other matches this weekend, the Crusaders will face the Highlanders at 6.05pm tomorrow, the Moana Pasifika will meet the Blues at 6.05pm Saturday, the Reds will take on the Brumbies at 8.45pm Saturday, and the Chiefs will face the Hurricanes at 2.35pm Sunday.
