Swire Shipping Fijian Drua coach Mick Byrne has been impressed with the level of productivity Teti Tela has been producing when he is on the field despite suffering a serious injury last July.
Byrne says Tela has been good and he has worked himself into the player he is now.
He says they did not expect to lose Caleb Muntz at the start of the season but Tela has stepped up to the role of fly-half.
Tela who is from Vanuabalavu says he is honoured to be part of Fiji’s history as being part of the first Fijian rugby team to play in the Super Rugby competition.
Tela says he is working hard to compete in the highest level of rugby.
The former Fiji Under 20 player has been named to start again in the fly-half position this week where he will team up with Frank Lomani who starts at half-back.
