Swire Shipping Fijian Drua Assistant Coach Brad Harris will be leaving the team in October to join the Melbourne Rebels for the 2024 Super Rugby Pacific season.
The Drua says Harris has played an integral role in the team and contributed immensely to the Drua’s successes in the Super Rugby Pacific competition, culminating in a first ever finals appearance in 2023.
Fijian Drua CEO Mark Evans wishes Harris well on this new journey and says Harris has done an outstanding job at the Drua and previously for Fiji Rugby.
He says they are sad to see him go, but completely understand the reasons behind his move.
Evan says he will always be welcome back and he knows many of the players will miss his friendship and coaching skills.
He adds they are already looking at possible candidates to replace him in the coaching team.
Meanwhile, 7 home games have been confirmed for the Drua next season.
For the first time, the Fijian Drua will host the NSW Waratahs and the Western Force on home soil, while top sides returning to play in Fiji include defending champions Crusaders, Hurricanes, Moana Pasifika, Queensland Reds and Melbourne Rebels.
