Ilaisa Droasese scored on debut for the Queensland Reds last night as they beat the Waratahs 41-7 in the opening match of Super Rugby Australia.
Filipo Daugunu scored two tries for the Reds.
The Reds led 27-7 at half-time and it was their clinical performance in the first 18 minutes that set the path to victory.
Droasese moved to Brisbane in 2018 and was also in the sights of the NRL after an outstanding Junior Rugby World Cup with Fiji.
He represented Fiji at both schoolboys and U20s level and was named the best player in the U19 division at the 2018 Coral Coast 7s.
Droasese also played for Queensland Country U19s before he was selected for Brisbane City in the National Rugby Championship.
