Driver in remand for causing death of 20-yr-old in Naviyago

30-year-old Adriu Waqa has been remanded for dangerous driving causing death of a 20-year-old man in Naviyago, Lautoka last Saturday.

Director of Traffic, SSP Mitieli Divuana says Waqa allegedly lost control of his vehicle causing it to crash into the railing of Naviyago Bridge and land in the river.

Divuana says the victim was rushed to Lautoka Aspen Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

The matter is adjourned to the 30th of this month.
