The driver alleged to have caused the death of a 14-year-old boy and an 18-year-old has been charged and will be produced in the Nausori Magistrates Court today.
The incident occurred last Friday along Kings Road near Naviveiwali in Wainibuka Tailevu.
The teenagers were passengers in a car driven by the 30-year-old man while they were heading towards Suva at about 3am.
According to police, the driver had allegedly fallen asleep and had lost control of the vehicle causing it to go off-road and into a nearby river.
Police say nearby villagers assisted in bringing the victims out from the vehicle and rushed them to the Korovou Hospital where they were pronounced dead.
The driver has been charged with two counts of dangerous driving occasing death and one count of dangerous driving.
