The 70km Dreketi-Nabouwalu Highway is one of the major developments currently underway in the North that is expected to be discussed during the Macuata Provincial Council meeting today.
Other major developments include the extension of FNU in Labasa and the double storey Labasa market.
Roko Tui Macuata Sitiveni Lalibuli said the people of Macuata will benefit as they will have access to the market, town, schools and tertiary education.
The one day meeting at Khatriya Hall in Labasa has started and was opened by the Tui Macuata Ratu Wiliame Katonivere who is also the chairman of the Macuata Provincial Council.
