It was a dream come true for Samisoni Viriviri after being named in the final 12 member squad for the national team to Gold Coast 7s.
The Dratabu, Nadi farmer first played for Nadi College in the under 16 and by the age of 19,he was playing for Dratabu in the Nadi Rugby Union club games.
The 24 year old also played for Lomaiviti rugby club and represented Suva as a fullback in 2010.
Viriviri was approached by Nadroga manager Paula Biu early this year to play for the Stallions.
Viriviri said his dream was always there.
Viriviri is the grandson and namesake of former Flying Fijian Samisoni Viriviri.
The Gold Coast 7's kicks off next Saturday with Fiji playing Scotland at 2.42pm in its first pool match.
Fiji will play Tonga at 5.58pm and will then play Australia at 9.46pm.
