The initiative of the private sector to ensure a comfortable environment for patients has seen the image and outlook of Fiji's largest hospital the CWM improve dramatically over the last two years.
Health Ministry Spokesperson Peni Namotu said the Ministry is grateful to the corporate bodies who have given the wards a new look with fresh painting and other renovation works.
Some of these bodies include Vodafone, ANZ Bank, BSP, Westpac, Holiday Inn, Vinod Patel, British Embassy and Fiji Care Limited.
Namotu said these corporate bodies do the renovation when the need arises however the Hospital has a three-year agreement with Fiji Care Limited to renovate and maintain the two VIP rooms of the paying ward.
The VIP rooms are fully air-conditioned and luxurious.
Namotu said more than 10 wards still needs renovations and the Ministry will be happy to welcome any corporate body showing an interest in renovating the wards.
