Capital Insurance Group, one of Papua New Guinea's leading insurance entities has announced its acquisition of Dominion Insurance Limited today.

Chair of Capital Insurance Micheal Koisen said after many years of growth in Papua New Guinea, they are looking forward to further expanding the business through the Dominion acquisition in Fiji.

Chairman of Dominion Insurance, Hari Punja said after 27 years of ownership it was time to entrust the business to different hands.

Punja said the new ownership provides the opportunity for the further development of staff and also more flexible solutions for clients who may have business interests in Papua New Guinea or Solomon Islands.

The sale is subject to normal regulatory approvals and should be finalised by the 30th of this month.
