The Fiji Revenue and Customs Service CEO Visvanath Das

The Fiji Revenue and Customs Service CEO Visvanath Das says doing business with their business office will be much easier once their new Information Tax Payer System goes live in the coming months.

Speaking at the launch of its Compliance Improvement Strategy, Das says once this is done then lodgement of applications, TIN Registrations, and Tax clearance can all be done online.

He says one of the challenges customers always bring to the Tax Office is that they need to provide documentation repeatedly because somebody has lost the documents or other mishaps.

Das says once they go online, people will only be required to lodge once at any point in time and it will always be with the Tax Office.

He says there will also be Tax Payer portals which works like internet banking where customers can log into there own portals and have access to all information.

Das says customers will also be able to update their accounts.
