The Chairman of the Dilkusha School Council Reverend Anil Reuben says Dilkusha Methodist Kindergarten, Dilkusha Girls School, Dilkusha Boys School and Dilkusha High School will open today for classes.
Reuben says the decision to open these schools was taken yesterday afternoon after consultations with the Ministry of Education.
He says a decision was taken to close these schools yesterday after the major landslide in Dilkusha on Sunday afternoon.
Meanwhile, Reuben says three families who reside on Dilkusha Hill were moved to another location for safety reasons.
