Digicel Kulas coach, Lisa Cole says a semi-final is a totally different ball game and they will need to take their chances against a formidable Solomons outfit in the OFC Women’s Nations Cup.
Cole says the midfield combination of Sofi Diyalowai and Cema Nasau has so far been incredible while Trina Davis and Koleta Likuculacula did an equally good job on the flanks.
She says they need to dictate the pace of the game and also have variation in attack.
There are no major injuries in the team.
Fiji will play the Solomon Islands in the second semi-final at 7.30pm Wednesday. Samoa will face Papua New Guinea in the first semi-final at 4.30pm.
The final will be played at 7pm on Saturday.
The winner of the Women's Nations Cup will qualify for the inter-confederation playoff for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. The playoff will be played in New Zealand next year.
The inter-confederation playoffs will determine the final three qualification spots for the FIFA Women's World Cup.
The playoffs will feature 10 teams from Asia, Africa, North America, Central America, Caribbean, South America, Europe and Oceania who will split into three groups, with the winner of each group qualifying for the Women's World Cup.
