Digicel has donated a fibreglass boat to the Fiji Police Force to assist them in their efforts to boost COVID-19 operations in monitoring borders.

While receiving the boat at the Suva Yacht Club, Acting Police Commissioner, Rusiate Tudravu has thanked Digicel and says this donation will greatly assist the Water Police division with their continued efforts in patrolling and keeping the communities safe and secure.

Digicel CEO, Farid Mohammed says this donation is timely and will assist the Fiji Police Force in improving waterway and coastal service delivery, conduct search and rescue operations, support community policing, and special operations such as investigations and drug trafficking.

He says Digicel has also started a pledge with an ‘All in for A Safer Fiji’ message aimed at driving vaccination awareness and a call to the nation that our fight against COVID will work ‘Better Together with Everybody All In’.
