Digicel Fiji donates $5,000 to Fiji Cancer Society to mark Pinktober

Digicel Fiji has donated $5,000 to the Fiji Cancer Society today to mark Pinktober.

Cancer is the third most common cause of death in Fiji for men due to liver, prostate, lung, stomach and colon cancer while cervical, breast, uterus, ovary and liver cancer for women.

To mark the annual Pinktober campaign, Digicel Fiji in collaboration with the Fiji Cancer Society conducted a cancer awareness session with all their staff.

Digicel Fiji CEO, Farid Mohammed says they are delighted to contribute to a relevant cause like breast cancer awareness and hope that more education, awareness and health equity is created for breast cancer.

Fiji Cancer Society Board Chair, Makarava Wilson acknowledged Digicel Fiji for the generous donation.
