Soqosoqo Vakamarama President, Adi Finau Tabakaucoro

Soqosoqo Vakamarama President, Adi Finau Tabakaucoro says it does not matter whether you have different sexual orientation but what matters the most is what you are able to provide to the community which will define you.

Adi Finau highlighted this during the International Transgender Day of Visibility celebration organised by the Rainbow Pride Foundation.

She says the service to the community they offer is the strength of that person.

Pacific Sexual and Gender Diversity Network CEO, Isikeli Vulavou says the transgender community in Fiji have been contributing to the success of their families and all they ask for in return is acceptance.

Vulavou says everyday they hear and speak to members of the transgender community and listen to the hard work they put in, just like anyone else, to contribute towards the success of their families and communities.

Meanwhile, the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia is on the 17th of May.
