Deluxe Footwear Limited has launched its new Fijian Made Range of shoes.
The Managing Director Dharmendra Parmar said by selling and promoting local footwear they have reduced their own imports and the imports of a few other footwear retail outlets in Fiji who were heavily dependent on imported footwear.
Minister for Industry, Trade and Tourism Faiyaz Koya said it is a special event as the 1000th product was added to the Fijian Made-Buy Fijian campaign.
Koya said over the short 3 year history of this Fijian Government-led initiative, 216 companies have joined the campaign and 1000 products have been licensed.
He said this new line of shoes from Deluxe is an addition to Fiji’s ability to produce international standard footwear.
