Defending champions Labasa and Suva draw 1-1 in BOG

Veteran defender Taniela Waqa scored a late equalizer as Sharma’s Investment USA, Labasa kicked off their Punjas Battle of the Giants campaign with 1-1 draw against Flow Valves and Island Accommodation Suva at Churchill Park.

Both sides were locked 0-0 at the break before Patrick Taroga gave Suva the lead in the second half.

Waqa then equalized for Labasa in the 85th minute through a header.

Meanwhile, 4R Electrical Ba and Go Fry Nasinu are currently locked at 0-0 while Rewa will take on Lautoka at 6.30pm.

In an earlier match, Joshua Tawake scored twice as All in One Builders Nadi defeated Koromakawa Rentals and Tours Navua 4-1.
