Swire Shipping Fijian Drua coach Mick Byrne

Swire Shipping Fijian Drua coach Mick Byrne says last week there was a bit more to it than just defence, as it starts with attitude.

Byrne highlighted this to the media after their 28-19 victory over the Reds in their round 13 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific competition.

He says in the second half the boys went out there and showed what happens when they get their mindset right on their defence.

The Drua coach says they kept getting off the line and making good tackles led by their skipper and they got 2 or 3 forced turnovers.

He says that is credit to the attitude of the players around teir defensive aspects of the game.

Drua skipper Tevita Ikanivere says everyone did their job leading up to the game from the players, management and support staff.

The Drua play the Highlanders at 2.05pm next Sunday in Dunedin.

Coming up this week, the Chiefs play the Hurricanes at 7.05pm Friday, the Brumbies host the Rebels at 9.35pm Friday, Moana Pasifika take on the Waratahs at 4.35pm Saturday, the Crusaders play the Blues at 7.05pm Saturday, the Reds meet the Force at 9.35pm Saturday.
