The Fiji Maritime Surveillance Rescue Coordination Centre says debris from the missing helicopter were found early this morning by villagers along the coast near Vanuavou Village at Natewa Bay.
They say the overdue helicopter went down in the Natewa Bay.
The helicopter was on a medical evacuation mission from Naitauba in Lau and was returning to Labasa with 3 people onboard but failed to arrive at the destination.
An aerial search team consisting of CAAF officials from Nadi and the Fiji Police were also conducting searches from this morning.
