David Savea of Rotuma High has won gold in the junior boys shot put for the 2024 Coca Cola Games.
Savea who threw a distance of 14.43 metres says last year he participated in the shot put but did not make it to the top 8.
He says he is here to represent his country and his school from Rotuma and with his techniques and training, he has managed to win a gold medal.
Meanwhile, Isikeli Verevukivuki of Marist Brothers High School took the silver medal while Mikaele Solomoni settled for the bronze medal.
