Olympic bronze medalist Raijeli Daveua and Younis Bese will not be part of the Vancouver 7s due to injuries.
This was confirmed by Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s coach Saiasi Fuli, who says that some of their players are injured, while some have also joined the Rooster Chicken Fijiana Drua for the 2023 Super W competition.
Fuli says they have prepared well for the past 3-weeks for this tournament.
The 12 players that will represent the Fijiana 7s side are Rusila Nagasau, Vasiti Solikoviti, Reapi Uluinasau, Vani Buleki, Ivamere Rokowati, Viniana Riwai, Maria Rokotuisiga, Lavena Cavuru, Ilisapeci Delaiwau, Ana Maria Naimasi, Meredani Qoro and Talei Wilson.
The Fijiana 7s will face Great Britain at 5.59am Saturday in their first pool match, they will then take on Colombia at 12.14pm Saturday and meet New Zealand at 7.06am Sunday in their last pool match.
The Women’s cup quarter-finals will start at 11.28am Sunday, the semi-finals will begin at 9.04am Monday and the final will be held at 1.56pm Monday.
