Daugunu joins 7s team in Sydney after an injury to Sauturaga

Former Fiji Airways Men’s 7s captain, Tevita Daugunu

Former Fiji Airways Men’s 7s captain, Tevita Daugunu has been called up to join the squad for the HSBC Sydney 7s this weekend.

Daugunu will be replacing Filipe Sauturaga who was ruled out of the team due to an injury.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Men’s 7s team is currently sitting in 8th place with 50 points on the men’s points table, while New Zealand leads with 63 points, followed closely by USA with 61 points and Argentina is in third place with 59 points.

Fiji is in pool D alongside France, Tonga and Japan.

The Sydney 7s will start on Friday.
