Hurricanes hooker Dane Coles says there needs to be honesty from the players and coaches about why this year’s Super Rugby Aotearoa campaign has been disappointing.

The Hurricanes lost 27-17 to the Blues at Eden Park on Saturday night, for their fourth defeat in five games.

The Hurricanes will now have to win their three remaining games and hope other results go their way to finishing in the top two.

Coles says when the team assembles on Tuesday they need to be honest with each other about what’s happening.

He says if they are sluggish about it, whinge, then they will not do anything for themselves or the team.

The Hurricanes will face the Crusaders at 3.35pm this Sunday.
