The D.A.V College Ba girls under 18 rugby side are utilising every opportunity they get in the Weet-Bix Raluve Western Zone competition to help them in their exposure to the sport that they are participating in for the first time.
While speaking to fijivillage News, Principal Sanjesh Kumar says this is something new for their school and the girls are enjoying the experience.
Kumar says a few of their players are playing in the Navala Rugby Club which has helped in terms of the team’s performance.
He further says in terms of training, they are improvising with whatever resources they have available and this does not deter the players’ spirits to keep pushing forward.
They are currently unbeaten in the Western Zone after securing two wins in the first two rounds.
The team will be on a bye this week.
