Seven villages in the Tikina of Cuvu have been advised not to waste their time in drinking grog and focus on their families by putting their houses in order.
Tikina representative, Ratu Tevita Volavola said while strong winds are disastrous, it is his duty to care for his people in Cuvu, Yadua, Sila, Naevuevu, Tore, Rukurukulevu and Hanahana.
Volavola said some trees fell on the kitchen sheds, however the villagers have quickly put up hurricane shutters.
