The Under 18 Cuvu College rugby team is based more on their career path and the secondary path is winning the Vodafone Super Deans Trophy this year.

Assistant Head Coach Samisoni Navatu highlighted this to fijivillage News after they went down to Ratu Navula College 18-6 last Saturday in the Western Secondary Schools Rugby Competition.

Navatu says 60 percent of their players are from the interior of Navosa and the boys have carried a lot of hopes of their families that they will find a better life out of rugby.

He says their next job is to prepare well for Ratu Kadavulevu School in their National Deans quarterfinals and will proceed from there to better their performance.

The Vodafone National Deans quarterfinals will be held next Saturday at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

In the other quarterfinals, Queen Victoria School will face Marist Brothers High School, Nasinu Secondary will face Tailevu North College and Mahatma Gandhi Memorial School will take on Ratu Navula College.
