The Cuvu College under-18 side is expecting a tough challenge from Suva Grammar School this weekend as the two schools go head to head in the Vodafone Super Deans quarter-finals which will be held at the HFC Bank Stadium.
Coach Samisoni Navatu says they know that Grammar is not an easy team to play but they will give their all to secure a place in the semi finals next weekend.
Navatu says his boys are preparing well and have worked on the areas that they needed to improve on from their previous games.
He says the team set three targets at the beginning of this year and they have achieved two of them which were winning the Navosa division and Western division respectively, and now they are working towards achieving the last one on the list and that is to win the Super Deans title.
The last time Cuvu reached the national quarter-final was back in 2019 against RKS.
The coach is calling to the ex-scholars and parents to show up in numbers and support the team.
In other under 18 quarter final matches, Natabua High School takes on Lelean Memorial School, Marist Brothers High School plays Ratu Kadavulevu School and Queen Victoria School will take on Nasinu Secondary School.
