A man was arrested and taken into custody for an alleged case of receiving stolen property at his Cunningham home on Friday.

Police say a team from the Southern Division operations team conducted the raid at the suspect’s home where electronic items and valuables believed to be stolen were seized.

Assistant Commissioner of Police – Operations (ACP) Livai Driu says as investigations continue, divisional operations are focused on identifying receivers of stolen goods to curb the incidents of thefts and robberies.

ACP Driu says opportunists target items that can easily be disposed of for money, such as mobile phones, tablets, smart watches, laptops and jewellery, and those involved are under Police’s radar.

The suspect remains in custody at the Nabua Police Station.
