Crushing has resumed at the Labasa Sugar Mill.
Chief Engineer Tevita Ravulo says crushing resumed at 8am today.
He says they are expecting to crush 5,000 tonnes of cane in the next 24 hours.
Meanwhile, Labasa Sugar Mill Manager Christopher Karia had said yesterday that due to the shortage of cane supply by cane farmers in the Northern Division, the mill was closed yesterday.
