The Crusaders are wary of a resurgent Hurricanes side and the rampaging Ngani Laumape.

After losing their first two games in Super Rugby Aotearoa, the Hurricanes have bounced back with three-straight wins.

Crusaders forwards coach Jason Ryan says the Hurricanes are a different side they met a month ago in Auckland where they won 39-25.

Ryan says what they have acknowledged and admired about the Hurricanes is that they are playing in a tight group.

He says Ardie Savea has been putting on a brilliant performance and everyone knows the energy TJ Perenara brings to the game.

Meanwhile, Laumape’s potential opposite for this weekend’s game, Jack Goodhue, says he is ready for the showdown and the 27-year-old is an awesome player.

Goodhue says they will have a plan in place on how to contain him because they are all aware of how destructive he can be.

The Crusaders will take on the Hurricanes at 7.05pm Saturday while the Blues will host the Chiefs at 3.35pm Sunday.
