Defending champions England's hopes are fading after a horrible 229-run defeat from South Africa in the 2023 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup in Mumbai, India this morning.
England can still qualify for the semi finals however they will need to win all five remaining group matches.
England captain Jos Buttler says it is incredibly disappointing as they had high hopes and wanted to play a good match to recover themselves in the tournament.
Buttler says potentially they should have batted in the first innings and the loss leaves us with no room for error in the matches that we play from now.
South Africa will now play Bangladesh at 8.30pm Tuesday while England will face Sri Lanka on Thursday.
India will play New Zealand at 8.30 tonight.
