Ilisoni Lolaivalu scored twice as Labasa thrashed Nadi 4-0 in their second group match of the Courts IDC at the ANZ Stadium.
Labasa was a completely changed team that lost 1-0 to Navua yesterday.
Labasa’s other goals were scored by Ratu Anare Apenisa and Iliasa Nayasi.
Lolaivalu says they were confident they will win against Nadi and adds that he is ready to score against Ba today.
They started the match at a frantic pace and scored the first goal in the 4th minute and the stage was set for Labasa’s dominance.
In other matches yesterday, Ba beat Navua 2-0, Lautoka overcame Nasinu 2-1 while Suva beat Rewa 4-2.
All 8 teams still has a chance to qualify for the semi-finals.
In Group A, Nasinu will qualify for the semi-finals with a win against Rewa while Rewa will need to beat Nasinu by four clear goals to reach the semis. On the other hand, Lautoka just needs a draw against Suva to qualify for the semis while Suva will also need a win or draw to qualify to the semis based on the result of the Rewa-Nasinu game.
Lautoka has four points, Suva and Nasinu have three points each while Rewa has one point.
In Group B, Navua will qualify for the semi-finals if they beat Nadi while Nadi will need to beat Navua with as many goals as possible and wait for the outcome of the Ba vs Labasa match.
Ba will need a draw against Labasa to qualify for the semis while Labasa will need to beat Ba to qualify depending on the result of the Navua and Nadi match.
Ba has four points, Labasa and Navua has three points while Nadi has one point.
In matches today, Rewa plays Nasinu at 1pm, Nadi faces Navua at 3pm, Suva takes on Lautoka at 5pm while Ba battles Labasa at 7pm.

Darold Kakasi scored again as Ba beat Navua 2-0 in their second group match. Savenaca Nakalevu scored the other goal for Ba.
Navua which beat Labasa on day 1, was a shadow of a side and failed to replicate that form.
Ba youngster, Peceli Sukabula played a brilliant game at right-back for Ba and combined well with the midfielders and attackers of Ba.
Lautoka midfielder Muni Shivam Naidu scored twice as they beat Nasinu 2-1.
Lautoka led 2-0 at half time. Nasinu got a penalty in the second half which was converted successfully by Jasnit Vikash.
Sairusi Nalaubu scored a hat-trick as Suva bounced back to beat Rewa 4-2.
Suva which lost to Nasinu yesterday, was in fine form from the first whistle and the first goal by Christopher Wasasala laid the platform for an impressive Suva win.
The capital side played brilliantly throughout the match and there was better cohesion between the players. Bruce Hughes scored Rewa’s goals from the penalty spot.
