Wallabies coach Dave Rennie says choosing Quade Cooper to start at flyhalf is the best option because he has the skillset to deliver for the Wallabies.
Cooper will play his 71st Test when they take on the world champion Springboks tomorrow.
While the selection has caused mixed reactions, Rennie maintains Cooper is the best option and his selection was not a sign of panic after a Bledisloe whitewash.
He says they are selecting players who they think can do the best job for the team.
The Wallabies will face the Springboks at 10.05pm tomorrow and the All Blacks will meet Argentina at 7.05pm tomorrow.
