Consumer Council applauds the conviction of Singh’s Curry House

The Consumer Council of Fiji has applauded the conviction of Singh’s Curry House in Suva for their unethical business practices.

CEO Premila Kumar says the most common issues that the council has received are complaints about mismatches between displayed prices and prices shown on receipts.

She says with only the receipt price as evidence, there is no other evidence with regards to what the display price was.

Kumar says after discussions take place between the consumers and the cashiers the shelf price appears to be changed once the Council conducts investigations.

The CEO has urged people to take photos of the shelf-prices as evidence and lodge complaints to help with the council’s investigations.
