The construction of the new nursing quarters at the Rabi Health Centre has been completed.
Commissioner Northern Division Jovesa Vocea says the new quarters would ensure the availability of medical staff at their work stations, especially in rural areas.
Vocea says it is expected to boost health services on the Island.
He says the project was allocated a total sum of $415,000 from the Public sector Investment Program in 2015.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner Northern’s Office is also working on undertaking five Public Sector Investment Programs for this new financial year.
These include the upgrading of the Tawake Nursing Station, continuation of the construction of Kubulau Government Station, construction of quarters at Seaqaqa, Naduri, Nabouwalu health facilities with a total allocation of more than $2 million.
