Concerns are being raised about two types of medications, Metformin and Enalapril, being out of stock at various health centres in Fiji.
Both medications are on the Free Medicine Scheme.
Metformin is used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes while Enalapril is used to treat high blood pressure, diabetic kidney disease and heart failure.
We have sent questions to the Minister for Health Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete. He is expected to respond soon.
