Concerns raised on the issue of noise pollution at the Suva Bus Stand

The Minister for Environment Dr Mahendra Reddy says that they have not received any complaints about the noise level from drivers blaring horns unnecessarily at the Suva Bus Stand.

He says once they have received the reports they will test the level of noise.

He made this comment after Fijivillage raised concerns on the issue of noise pollution at the Bus Stand and Reddy says that it is a designated area where buses will operate and there will be noise.

He says that it is still a question as to whether that noise is going beyond the acceptable level adding that they have all the facilities to test the noise level.

The Minister says that they will only test that if they get complaints regarding the issue.
