Team Fiji squash athlete Marika Matanatabu lost to Cayman Island's Jake Kelly 3-1 in the Men's Singles competition at the Commonwealth Games.
Matanatabu says it was a tough match against Kelly but he is looking to put on a better performance in the plate division.
The 26-year-old was based in Australia in preparation for the Games and is currently the No.1 ranked male squash athlete in Fiji.
Meanwhile, the Men's Table tennis team went down 3-0 to England.
Team Fiji has 64 athletes who will be participating in 12 sports, including Para Athletics and Para Table Tennis, as well as Athletics, Boxing, Judo, Lawn Bowls, Men’s and Women’s 7s, Squash, Table Tennis and Weightlifting.
