Close to 1000 people attend late Tui Macuata’s funeral

Close to a thousand people attended the funeral of the late Paramount Chief of Macuata Ratu Aisea Katonivere today.

Amongst those who were at the chiefly village of Naduri was the Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama and the President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau.

Meanwhile the clan of Taukei Namara will be having a meeting soon to discuss the installation of the next Tui Macuata.
