Penrith Panthers’ halfback Nathan Cleary became the youngest player to score 1,300 points in premiership history after scoring 11 points in the Panthers’ 15-4 win over the Brisbane Broncos.
Cleary scored a try, kicked two conversions, a penalty goal and a field goal to create a piece of his own history.
The win has put Panthers on top of the NRL ladder with 16 points and equal with the Broncos and South Sydney, but with a superior for and against.
In other NRL matches this week, the Dragons play the Roosters at 8 tonight, the Eels will take on the Rabbitohs at 10 tonight, the Knights will take on the Sharks at 5pm tomorrow, West Tigers play the Cowboys at 7.30pm tomorrow, the Dolphins will take on the Storm at 9.35pm tomorrow, the Bulldogs will play the Titans at 4pm Sunday and the Raiders will play the Sea Eagles at 6.05pm Sunday.
