Paula Cirikiyasawa is the new Permanent Secretary for Lands and Mineral Resources and will take up this appointment at the end of this month.
The Public Service Commission says Cirikiyasawa brings over two decades of professional work experience and promises to uplift innovation, expansion and sustainability.
They say Cirikiyasawa has been working with UNDP since 2018, utilising his skills to contribute to global development endeavours.
The Chairman for Lands and Mineral Resources Luke Rokovada says Cirikiyasawa’s proven track record of leadership, innovation and strategic vision makes him the ideal person to lead the Ministry of Lands and Mineral Resources.
Cirikiyasawa has a Masters qualification in International Relations & Diplomacy and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics & Political Science.
Meanwhile, the former PS, Dr Raijeli Taga, will remain with the Ministry and take up her new role in the middle of October 2024.
Rokovada says Taga has been an integral part of Ministry of Lands and Mineral Resources success which has led the Ministry through significant achievements under her leadership.
