The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China says it continues to help children in Fiji as they reached out to the Christian Mission Fellowship Primary School enhancing their literacy and numeracy classes for the academic year.
CMF Primary School is the first school in Fiji to visit the Chinese Embassy and they were welcomed by the Chinese Ambassador to Fiji Zhou Jian in high diplomatic spirit.
The Ambassador says he is happy to host CMF Primary and spoke highly of the bilateral ties and the history China has with Fiji.
He says the visit marks the unique cultural heritage that both countries have shared over the years and China's commitment to Fiji.
During the Chinese Embassy open day, the students performed some Chinese dances and were treated to some classic martial arts performances by the Chinese delegates.
Ambassador Jian says as a former school teacher, his heart is always focused on the children.
He says China has helped Fiji in many ways, such as building infrastructure, and many more.
CMF Primary School Head Teacher Neori Cama says this historic visit will further enhance the children's knowledge of China in our country.
Cama says the Embassy has reached out to the school to improve the student's learning journey, and as per their conversation with the Chinese Ambassador, more help will be given.
He says hopefully Fiji will include the Chinese language as part of our school curriculum in the future.
