Children from orphanages hosted to Christmas lunch

Children from orphanages in Suva sat together today to enjoy a Christmas lunch and gifts at Sukuna Park.

The children from Saint Christopher’s Home in Nakasi and Dilkusha Girls Home in Nausori were excited lining up for their gifts from farther christmas Santa Claus.

Head of Dilkusha Girls Home Deaconess Leba Laveti said altogether 26 children with the youngest only 2 years old were happy catching a bus into the city today.

Fijivillage caught up with some of the children spending Christmas day at the Park


Later this evening the children at Dilkusha Girls Home will unwrap the other gifts that they have also received for Christmas.

This lunch was organized and hosted by Julie Eichelbaum through the Fijians in Need Foundation with donations from Colgate Palmolive, Digicel, Fiji Airways, Fiji Times, Fiji Water, Future Counsel International Legal Recruitment, Goodman Fielder, Kundan Singh and Westpac.
