The Chiefs are set to welcome back star flyer and Fiji-born winger Emoni Narawa who is returning from a recovery setback however they will miss the services of All Black midfielder Anton Lienert-Brown for the next two weeks.

Lienert-Brown suffered a concussion and failed his Head Injury Assessment test in their 46-29 win over the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua last Saturday.

Narawa has endured a frustrating start to the year with a setback in his recovery from the back injury which ruled him out of the Rugby World Cup last year.

Coach Clayton McMillan says they had been taking a delicate approach to the 24-year-old though he is starting to get a bit noisy at training.

McMillan says this is a good indication that Narawa is tracking in the right direction.

The head coach has labelled Narawa as “a possibility” for the Highlanders game.

McMillan says the winger would be a contender if he gets through a couple of solid days of training without any issues.

The Chiefs will take on the Highlanders at 3.35pm this Saturday in Hamilton.

Meanwhile, the Fijian Drua Men will take on the Waratahs at 1.05pm this Saturday in Lautoka while the Drua Women will take on the Waratahs at 3.35pm. In other matches this weekend, the Hurricanes will host the Rebels at 6.05pm Friday, the Brumbies will take on Moana Pasifika at 8.35pm Friday, the Blues will play the Crusaders at 6.05pm Saturday and Western Force will take on the Reds at 8.35pm Saturday.
